A Ready Patch
Short documentary on the outcomes of <br />Community Based Disaster Risk Management Program. <br /> <br />Muzaffargharh, a ‘V’ shaped district in Southern Punjab,is located between the River Chenab and the Indus River. Agriculture and livestock are a critical lifeline for the district’s massive population and are fully dependant upon these rivers and their tributaries. <br /> <br />Recently, the district has faced four consecutive floods, including the record breaking monsoon floods in the year 2010. In response to these periodic catastrophes, Doaba Foundation a regional NGO carried out a WeltHungerHilfe’s funded project that would advance communities to self reliance by strengthening their self-help capacities.
