Fantastic Five
The Fantastic Five is a story of people of five villages of District Muzaffargarh in southern Punjab of Pakistan. These villages are located beside the River Chanaab. <br /> <br />Among several definition of vulnerability one that people of these villages stress upon is ’being not ready’. <br /> <br />With support from Doaba Foundation and Welthungerhilfe (WHH) people prepared themselves for adversities. Utilizing the newly deployed early warning system the communities build a three kilometers long embankment just before the floods of 2013. <br /> <br />They are no ordinary villagers, their courage and self-reliance has inspired others. More and more people are grouping together to form clusters and networks.
