The old prison of Guingamp has been just restored at a cost of 850,000 euros.<br /><br />This building is one of the first cellular prisons built in France during 1834 and 1840 based on a design from Pennsylvania. The cells are laid out around a courtyard with wooden columns supporting a gangway.
