Velicham is a 2023 avant-garde Tamil short film that immerses the viewers into the lives of two young siblings, Bujimma and her brother, as they handle life with all its harshness in a Tamil Nadu, India dump yard. This heart-wrenching tale invites audiences to empathize with the experiences of these children and prompts deep reflection on societal attitudes toward marginalized communities. A joint venture of DN Media Productions and Haritham Movies produces this 24-minute short film. Directed by Sanu K Chandran and Nidhin Salgunan, Velicham is a unique blend of music and emotion, presented in an unconventional style.
