Patrick Kane tied it for Chicago at 18:21 and the score was 2-2 at the second intermission. The game winner came early in the third period at 1:10 as Marian Hossa beat Jonathan Quick stick side. The game had drama late as the Kings had a power play at 15:23 and failed to find the equalizer.
Chicago outshot the Kings by a 28-21 margin and it was the Kings who won six more face-offs. Both teams are still struggling on the power play with the Kings 0 of 4 and the Blackhawks 0 of 3 on the man advantage.
