The Obama administration is saying little about how it will provide military support to the Syrian opposition.

The US has decided to arm rebels after saying it is now sure the Syrian government is using chemical weapons.

But that has sparked a new debate about whether peace between the rebels and the Assad government can be struck at the bargaining table.
