A 46-year-old woman in Willits, California discovered a razor blade in her hamburger from a local Burger King restaurant. Workers informed police that the franchise used the blades for cleaning purposes.

You never know what kind of dangers might be lurking in your fast food meal. A 46-year-old woman in Willits, California got an unwelcome surprise in her hamburger from a local Burger King restaurant.

The whole ordeal began after family members of Yolanda Orozco went to the fast food joint and ordered a few burgers. When Orozco received hers, she took a small bite and lifted the bun to check for onions.

She saw something far worse in the form of a razor blade. The complete blade was resting in between the cheese and the meat. She stated “I was in shock. I was just looking at it. Somebody at Burger King was careless.”

The police were called and they discovered the incident was in fact very real.

While touring the restaurant, the officers noticed three additional razor blades which were a little too close to food. Workers informed them that the franchise used the blades for cleaning purposes.

Burger King plans to retrain the staff at the Willits location concerning food preparation.
