A Mexican woman, 100-year-old Manuela Hernandez recently received her diploma from primary school.

You never know where you will find a source of inspiration.

A grandmother can now check off primary schooling from her bucket list.

The Mexican woman, 100-year-old Manuela Hernandez recently received her primary school diploma.

Hernandez was born in 1913 in the state of Oaxaca which is located in the Southwestern part of Mexico. She was forced to leave high school after just one year of attendance so she could help family members out with daily tasks and household chores.

Hernandez stated “I liked school very much, but I could not continue studying. By the next year I could already wash and iron."

Just last year, her granddaughter urged Hernandez to continue her school education at the age of 99. Admirably, the elderly woman took that advice.

Hernandez isn’t stopping there. She plans on enrolling in secondary school sometime in the future, serving as a pristine example that it’s never too late to finish what was once started.

What's been an unexpected source of inspiration for you?
