Despite being thwarted by high winds, rain and generally uncooperative weather, X Games Munich came to a historic conclusion with Oakley's own Bob Burnquist at the center of the storied action for his record 25th X Games medal. Other standout Oakley performances in Munich included Curren Caples' career first gold medal and the spectacular return of mountain biking to X Games competition as ushered in by Cam Zink, Kurt Sorge and X Games Munich bronze medalist Andreu Lacondeguy.
