Carhartt is taking a great direction with their women’s line, something I’ve been waiting for for a very long time. I’m excited for the new products that they are developing for women only…because women can work hard too.
Among other new jackets Carhartt has out, the Cascade is a great multi-seasonal jacket for women that love to get outside even when it’s wet and cold. I have worn this particular jacket in light rain, heavy rain, and snow and no matter how bad or wet the conditions, I have always stayed dry. Fully taped seams, Dura-Dry waterproof and breathable coating, and a large hood definitely add to the dryness factor.
Not only does this jacket keep me dry and warm, it is extremely comfortable. The collar is a great fit and not too tight around the neck. For an added plus, this jacket fits like a women’s jacket should. Comfort, style, and functionality are all features found in the Cascade Jacket.
As you'll see in the video, tested to the max the Cascade did not fail! My shirt underneath had a few drips on it from my face, but other then that my shirt, arms, and head were completely dry.
I will continue to wear this jacket when it rains, snows, or blows and it will continue to keep my layers underneath dry. Be sure to check out the new line of Women’s Carhartt products because they are beginning to understand that we love their gear too!
