Well, here’s an easy way to boost your heart health – eat breakfast.
A study conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health showed that those who take a moment to eat a bit in the morning put less strain on their hearts throughout the day.
This and other discoveries were made in the 16-year observation of 27 thousand men aged 45 to 82.
Over the duration of the research, over 15 hundred of the subjects were the victims of serious heart attacks or heart failure.
Data analysis revealed that this meant a 27 percent higher risk of heart troubles for non-breakfast eaters.
The study also brought to light that the skippers of the morning meal had other health risks in common. Among them were smoking, drinking, and not exercising.
They also tended to be younger, single, and worked full-time.
Authors agreed that regardless of lifestyle, the effort to include the morning meal is one that will likely pay off in the long run.
The ideal breakfast includes a variety of healthy foods including grains, fruits, and proteins.
