Film Director Rohit Shetty met MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Thursday and has manged to strike a conciliatory note over the screening of his forthcoming film 'Chennai Express'.
The film ran into controversy after the MNS protested that Marathi film 'Duniyadaari' was dislodged at single-screen cinema halls by 'Chennai Express'. The makers of both films have now agreed to contact cinema owners on which film to screen on a case-by-case basis.
"In 17 single screen theatres 'Duniyadaari' was doing well and theatre owners wanted to screen 'Chennai Express'. Now both films will be given slots," Shetty said.
