The trial for Major Nidal Hasan, who is accused of killing 13 people and wounding 32 more in a shooting rampage at Ft. Hood nearly four years ago is now underway. The trial began with a shocking statement from Hasan; the defendant telling the court "I am the shooter." The former army psychiatrist is representing himself in court and could cross examine his own victims during trial. The head prosecutor has reportedly said that Major Hasan possessed a "jihad duty to kill as many soldiers as possible."
