As you progress, the difficulty level increases rapidly. After the first few missions, the game becomes more challenging, and you need to plan your moves carefully. At the end of each level, you will receive in-game currency and be graded with stars. To get awarded with three stars, you need to destroy all the enemies and successfully keep them from breaking into your camp. Use up the currency to buy upgrades in the shop. Be wary though as the upgrades are somewhat expensive. Some might even be frustrated with the challenging gameplay and decide to spend money on the power-ups just to beat a level.

Even if Toy Defense 2 may seem just like the original, I like a couple of their concepts with regards to towers having health bars as well as the ability to save a couple of units after a battle. Your enemies sometimes attack your towers which you can notice once you see a little green bar under your unit. Repair it immediately by clicking on the damaged tower. The two troops you saved after a battle can then be placed in the next mission at a reduced price.
