Nearly a month after IAS officer Durgashakti Nagpal from Uttar Pradesh was suspended for taking on the mining mafia, now a contingent of IAS officers in UP was allegedly attacked by the mafia who tried to run over them for acting against illegal mining. Despite repeated assurances by UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's government, the terror of the sand mining mafia still seems to be prevalent in UP.
