Opposition and union leaders In Tunisia are threatening to stage more street protests.

They had wanted the Islamist government to step down and make way for a neutral government run by experts not affiliated to any political party.

The ruling Ennahada party refused, offering instead to form a national unity government with all of Tunisia's political parties.
