Do you have an R4 3DS? This video lists all of the r4 3ds cards that are known to work on the latest Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL version 6.2.0-12 consoles. With this new system update, a lot of the r4 cards out there stopped being recognized by the 3DS. There are a lot of different brands of these cartridges, and most of them sadly won't be updated or will not be getting an update.

But if you have one of the cards listed in the video, you can download and install the newest firmware kernel that will bring back compatibility and allow you to play your free homebrew games and applications and multimedia on your Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL systems.

The firmware listed here is only meant for the official r4 3ds cards. The download link for the new firmware files is: http://www.r43ds.org/pages/R4-3DS-Firmware.html and you can select the card you have, and download the latest firmware for that specific card. Make sure you don't use the wrong firmware on your card. If you attempt to install any of these kernel files on another card, you will not be able to use your r4 3ds at all, as it will be bricked.
