More than 125 million women, mostly in Africa and the Middle East, have been subjected to a painful, violent and terrifying ritual known as female genital mutilation (FGM). A new report by UNICEF says more and more girls are saying 'no' to FGM and a growing number of communities are abandoning the tradition. But millions remain at risk. Claudia Cappa, lead author of the UNICEF report on the subject, tells Douglas Herbert about what needs to be done to eliminate the practice.
