Post 'Bullet Raja', Tigmanshu Dhulia will start Ekta Kapoor's 'Milan Talkies'. The film, that is a romcom based in a small town, was to earlier have Imran Khan in the lead.
However, we have now learnt, Tigmanshu and Ekta have roped in Shahid Kapoor in place of Imran. The film will be shot in Lucknow and Mumbai and is expected to go on the floors by October.
Shahid Kapoor started his career by working in music videos and advertisements, and made his Bollywood debut with Ishq Vishk and won a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance. He followed it with films like Fida and Shikhar, and had his first major commercial success with Sooraj R. Barjatya's Vivah. His performances in Jab We Met and Kaminey earned him nominations for the Filmfare Best Actor Award.
