Family arguments are not unheard of but some can go to extreme ends.

A man in Deltona, Florida was recently arrested for yielding a sword while threatening his own mother and her boyfriend.

34-year-old Jayson Laughman began verbally arguing with his mom’s partner, 52-year-old Michael Airhart over a missing can of shrimp.

The men at first took their disagreement outside but things quickly heated up. According to reports, Laughman grabbed a statue and threatened to strike Airhart with it.

After the fight deflated and both men seemingly calmed down, Airhart went into a bedroom with Laughman's mother and closed the door. However a little while later, Laughman used a sword to break the door down and held it up in a threatening manner.

Laughman then left the room, but it wasn’t over; he returned with two kitchen knives and hurled them at Airhart. The police were called to the scene.

Laughman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He said he didn’t remember the fight, because he ‘went into code red and lost his temper’.

Airhart was thankfully uninjured during the knife throwing incident.
