There are some exceptionally bizarre excuses for criminal behavior out there. One man in West Haven, Connecticut has been accused of punching and choking a woman.
The suspect, 40-year-old Louis Hubbard later admitted he had smoked marijuana which was laced with horse tranquilizer. The female victim, who was an acquaintance of the suspect, had picked Hubbard up to go for a drive.
However things went horribly wrong during the ride. She was able to get away from Hubbard after the assault and quickly contacted police.
Cops soon arrived. While conversing with the lady, Hubbard reportedly approached officers and appeared to be under the influence.
