The Jaguars haven’t exactly been doing too well as of late. The team lost their first three games against The Kansas City Chiefs, the Oakland Raiders, and the Seattle Seahawks.
Many fans were left frustrated and a little less than enthusiastic about tickets they have already purchased for future games. . So that’s where the alcohol promotion came in.
The Jaguars took to Twitter last week to announce that for a 2 hour timeframe any $45 or higher ticket purchase for their fourth game at EverBank Field against the Indianapolis Colts, fans would also get “2 free drinks”.
It turns out, those beer vouchers most likely came in handy. The Jaguars got absolutely annihilated by the Colts. The final score was 37-3.
Although the advertising gimmick was unique, the Jaguars have continuously had problems keeping their seats filled, mostly in part due the team’s gloomy performance.
Since 2006, the Jaguars have not ranked higher than 20th in the NFL’s attendance ranking.
