At least 20 people were killed and dozens more wounded on Friday when a bomb exploded in a Sunni mosque in northeastern Iraq, according to a Reuters report. The blast occurred in the town of Wajihiya as worshippers were observing midday prayers.
The explosion happened during the middle of a sermon inside the Abu Bakr al-Sadiq Mosque. Details of the incident remain unclear, but the suicide bomber blew himself up inside the mosque, according to police officials.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
