An aid worker was killed and three others wounded on Thursday, when a grenade hit their office in the biggest city of Sudan's Darfur region, according to a Reuters report. The incident occurred during a resumption of fighting between government troops and paramilitary forces in the city centre of Nyala. There were reports of a number of lootings amidst the clashes.

The gunfight took place in an area home to the offices of many international humanitarian organizations.
