Saaya Suzuki, an 18-year-old high school girl and budding actress, was stabbed to death by her 21-year-old ex-boyfriend, Charles Thomas Ikenaga, in Mitaka, western Tokyo.

On her way home from school Tuesday afternoon, Ikenaga came behind with a knife, stabbing her neck, right before she almost made it home.

A passerby heard a scream and saw the suspect chasing the girl and stabbing her abdomen multiple times.

After the victim's mother heard the scream, she rushed out and called the police immediately. The victim was sent to hospital and later confirmed dead, suffering stab wounds.

The police later arrested the suspect. He has admitted to murdering the victim.

Ikenaga told the police he met the young actress through Facebook two years ago. They dated till fall last year. Holding a grudge against Suzuki over their breakup last year, Ikenaga constantly pressured and harassed her, even sending her a text message threatening to kill her.

Having been stalked by Ikenaga, Suzuki went to the Mitaka Police Station with her parents Tuesday morning but was killed later that day.

The suspect even uploaded nude pictures of the victim online when he was on the run after the murder.
