A thief has been jailed after he was caught on camera and trapped by neighbours in the car he was trying to steal in Swansea, United Kingdom
Matthew Draper cheekily asked car owner Tanya Miles' neighbour to move a vehicle blocking the way - so the would-be thief could drive off in the motor.
But the 27-year-old's plan was foiled when a quick-thinking neighbour suspected he was up to no good.
The "extraordinary" turn of events which took place on 30th July 2013, led to Draper being jailed this week for 32 months at Swansea Crown Court after pleading guilty to criminal damage, theft, going equipped and failing to provide a specimen of breath.
He also pleaded guilty to the theft of a car CD player and burglary, for a separate incident.
