La Paz, 27 June (EFE).- (Camera: Javier Aliaga) With the government struggling with an ongoing mutiny of thousands of police in La Paz, indigenous Bolivians seeking protection for their natural reserve have decided to halt their 600-mile protest march just outside the capital to avoid conflict.

And so they have invited beleaguered President Evo Morales to hear their demands at the gates of the city. The indigenous Bolivians want the government to stop road construction that would split their Tipnis reserve in half, indigenous leaders say.
