Quito, 25 jun (EFE).- Lonesome George is lonesome no more. The world-famous giant tortoise, believed to be the last living member of the Galapagos Islands Pinta subspecies, was found dead at the weekend by his caretaker.

The news sent the archipelago into mourning for its most famous resident, known for his failed attempts to produce an heir.
