Cute Heroes is packed with 100 battles with three levels of difficulty. In each battle, you hold your fortress at one end and the zombies hold theirs at the other end. Your task is to destroy the zombies’ before they demolish yours. The game actually doesn’t highlight the deployment of troops in the same way as other similar titles like Plants vs. Zombies. It doesn’t present a chessboard-like battle field for you to deploy the troops at a limited number of fixed locations. Instead, you tap a soldier and he will come out of the fortress to fight automatically. He can move anywhere freely. And you can deploy as many troops as needed only if you have enough meat, provisions used to take a soldier into a battle. In the meantime, the zombies will flock toward your fortress constantly. This is a sharp contrast to Plants vs. Zombies, in which zombies just line up and move along a fixed path.
