Out of the kindness of my heart, I decided to reattempt the Battle of Glendale. Expecting the game to crash, I faffed about with some of my tactics, with the end result being... well... let's just say it's the worst battle I've fought in this entire Civil War.

Historical recap: The Battle of Glendale took place in Virginia on June 30, 1862. Estimates suggest 40,000 Union and 45,000 Confederate soldiers fought at Savage's Station with 3,797 Union and 3,673 Confederate casualties. Although tactically inconclusive, the Confederacy failed to prevent the Federal escape and either cripple or destroy McClellan's army. SUPPLEMENTAL FUN FACT: McClellan wasn't even with his army at this battle. Instead, after performing a brief inspection in the morning, he rode south to sail on the ironclad USS Galena. He didn't even leave a supplemental overall commander for five different corps; he just deserted his men and went off on his merry way.
