Recently, Rihanna was asked to leave a mosque in Abu Dhabi after she used the site to pose for a photo shoot.
Rihanna is no stranger to controversy. Recently the singer was asked to leave a mosque in Abu Dhabi after she used the building to pose for a photo shoot.
The problem was that she did not have the required permission. Rihanna was reportedly dressed conservatively, wearing a jumpsuit that covered her body from head to toe, but the pictures were taken in an area which is normally off limits to visitors.
There was another issue as well. According to a spokesperson at the mosque, some of the photos were considered inappropriate.
Although her body was covered, some of the snapshots were considered suggestive. For example, one of them showed Rihanna lying on her back in the court yard of the mosque.
The official statement from mosque authorities noted “In the event of behavior that violates the moral codes of access to the mosque, or other visit regulations. the violators are directed in a polite manner that reflects the civilization and tolerant attributes of Islam.”
Rihanna, who was in the United Arab Emirates for her "Diamonds" world tour, has not yet responded to the incident.
What do you think about the mosque's decision to ask Rihanna to leave?
