End of October during a jump base jump near Moab, Utah (United States), Ammon McNeely had a problem parachute and crashed against the wall. Result of the operation, an open leg fracture. He managed to make a tourniquet, but lost anyway 1.4 liter of blood (3 pints). He explained that he was not far from losing life when the helicopter came to rescue him. Doctors were able to reattach his foot to his leg. Ammon McNeely is a base jumper experienced 43 years with nearly 1,000 jumps to his credit
