The X Factor is an American television music competition to find new singing talent; the winner of which receives a $5 million recording contract. According to reports, Hilary Duff, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kelly Rowland, Paulina Rubio, and Ne-Yo were reported as potential replacements to Spears and Reid on the judging panel. On May 20, 2013, the day before auditions began, Fox officially confirmed that former Destiny’s Child member and X Factor UK judge Kelly Rowland, and Mexican singer and former La Voz: México judge Paulina Rubio had been hired to replace Spears and Reid.
