STORY: Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, held a gala state banquet in honor of the South Korean President Park Geun-hye on Tuesday who was on a state visit to the United Kingdom.
Queen Elizabeth and Park Geun-hye both gave speeches at the beginning of the banquet and toasted the South Korean premier's visit to Buckingham Palace.
Earlier in the day Park Geun-hye met British Prime Minister David Cameron, British Foreign Secretary William Hague and British Home Secretary Theresa May during an official welcome ceremony at Horse Guards Parade.
President Park, who is staying at Buckingham palace as the guest of the Queen, reviewed the Guard of Honor with Prince Philip before joining the Queen and Prince Philip in the Royal carriage for a state procession along the Mall to Buckingham Palace.
The state visit follows on from William Hague's trip to South Korea last month when both countries agree
