Psy celebrates South Korean cinema

He brought K Pop to the masses and now he's helping put a "Spotlight on Korean cinema."

Psy hit the Museum of Modern Art in New York for a celebration feting Korean film.

The "Gangnam Style" singer says quality entertainment like music and film transcend cultural boundaries.

SOUNDBITE: Psy, rapper, saying (English):

"Country to country, nation to nation, we are sharing all the things. So if it is a good thing we have got to share everything. That's what I think. Of course Korean movies, it's growing right now so I am so proud about it."

Also present was actor Lee Byung-hun, who is a household name in his native country.

"The topics of the movies are very unusual I think from the perspective of foreigners. And one person once told me that storytelling in (Korean) films are unusual, not something that you could easily predict. Many people in the industry praise things like that about Korean films.
