His credit report says it will be off in 2014, so 10 years. He was under the belief that it was 7 years - I didn't know him then, so I don't know what he was told. If the BK was filed in 2004, was it 7 years at the time and it has changed or was it always 10 years?

2nd part of the question..IF it was 7 years at the time and it has changed, is there a way to get it off his credit report at the 7 year mark?
