Public sector funding is a term used to describe funds available to a business which derives from public (usually governmental or local authority) sources. In the UK this will often include funds, including funds from the European Union. This funding takes many forms, and will include equity, debt and a mixture. Sometimes the debt will be “soft loans” which offer flexible or lenient repayments terms and below market interest rates.
