In Syria, some rebel groups have announced they're joining forces and merging into a new group. It follows the killing of a leading rebel commander earlier this week. The newly united group are calling themselves 'The Islamic Front'. Al Jazeera speaks to Fawaz Gerges, director of the Middle East Centre at the London School of Economics.
