Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - Can a judgment be ignored if you file bankruptcy? - My 91 year old father is being sued by my sister. He placed her on a deed to a building many years ago to help her out. She put no money down on the property. There are no records of any monies being transferred. He sold the building 12 years ago and now she is coming forth and wanting her cut. She is in financial difficulties. This case has gone legal. If my father looses, he could lose his house and pretty much everything he has saved. I suggested looking into bankruptcy. If she won the case, would he be spared paying her if he files?
This is killing him. The other siblings are devastated that she would do this to him.
Thanks -
