Hometown Story takes the capitalism-based shop management of the 2010 smash hit Recettear, and pares it down rather drastically. This production, with a list of AAA names in the world of Japanese game development, discards the notion of RPG-style dungeon delves for materials in favor of scrounging around town, finding fruit on the ground, and obtaining most of your wares from a travelling merchant and/or other shopkeepers in your town.
