It’s that time of the year when everyone can start their mornings by having a piece of chocolate from their advent calendar.
Aswell as chocolate, Let’s Talk Sport is giving you a double treat! From the 1st of December to Christmas day we will be uploading a video daily that looks back at very special sporting moments of 2013.
On day 11 of the countdown we look back at one of the biggest comebacks in 2013 and probably the biggest comeback in sports history.
Briton Sailor, Sir Ben Ainslie's Oracle Team USA were 1-8 down to opponents, Emirates Team New Zealand with 8 meetings remaining. Oracle could not miss out on a win at whatever costs otherwise the cost would be to lose their defense of the America's Cup.
Ainslie and the Oracle team performed the impossible in the remaining 8 races by winning each encounter to win the series 9-8. Ever since the day Oracle Team USA retained the cup, there have been discussions all over the world and media debating the fact that the team had possibly peroformed the best comeback in sport history.
