Me playing the organ at Oasis Baptist and United Reformed Church in Lambeth, London which is situated opposite Lambeth North tube station on the Bakerloo line.

The present church was built in 1960 to replace a previous building which was destroyed during world war two. It was then known as Christ Church and Upton before becoming known as Oasis in 2011.

The organ for the new church was built by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd and is the 3 rank Miniatura model. The specification reads:

Unlike most other Miniatura models, the organ was given a modern look in the casework to blend in with the church as seen here.

Im playing the hymn 'O God our Father, who dost make us one' to the tune 'Morecambe' which demonstrates the main sounds used for accompanying congregational hymn singing.

Many thanks to the church officials for allowing me access to this fine Compton organ.

The church is due to be refurbished in 2014 and it is therefore likely that the organ will be removed. Hopefully a new home will be found for this instrument.
