It was meant to be Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's big night in London's West End on Thursday (December 19) as he launched his new musical "Stephen Ward." However, the glitzy premiere was soon to overshadowed by the unfortunate ceiling collapse at the nearby Apollo Theatre, which injured up to 80 people and brought the West End to a stand-still.

Selena Gomez canceled her upcoming Australian concert tour, saying she needs to take the time to put herself before work. The 21-year-old former Disney star was to perform five concerts in Australia beginning on February 1. The singer had walked off stage earlier this month at a concert in Los Angeles after a sound malfunction and scrapped two concerts in Russia in September.

The 86th Academy Awards released a new trailer for the 2014 Oscars, featuring host Ellen DeGeneres. The television icon will be hosting the awards for her second time when the show airs on March 2.
