The giant, seven-foot-tall "14" is feted by a string quartet of high school seniors -- class of 2014 -- and a giant champagne bottle while on display at the Times Square Museum & Visitor Center.

Serenading the "14" are the Senior String Quartet from the Half Hollow Hills School District in Dix Hills, NY. An 11-foot, 9-inch tall champagne bottle provided by Moët & Chandon Champagnes, the official champagne of Times Square 2014, tops off the celebratory unveiling exactly 14 days before New Year's Eve.

Philips provides all of the Times Square New Year's Eve Numerals with advanced, energy-efficient LED bulbs. For the first time this year, the numerals are illuminated in colors and patterns that can be changed and controlled. Philips's new hue BR30 LED bulbs will bring an endless array of color to the iconic Numerals. Hue bulbs can be controlled from a smart device.

Tim Tompkins, President of the Times Square Alliance, and Jeffrey Straus, President of Countdown Entertainment—co-organizers of Times Square New Year's Eve—are on hand, as well as Todd Manegold Director, LED Lamps Marketing from Philips, who discusses the LED bulb technology used to light the numerals. Landmark Signs, under the direction of President Tony Calvano, oversee the installation and delivery of the numeral.

The numerals are on display at Times Square Museum & Visitor Center on 7th Avenue between 46th and 47th Streets until December 26th. At that time, they will be installed atop One Times Square to complete the "2-0-1-4" sign that lights up at midnight to announce the beginning of the New Year at the completion of the Ball Drop.
