A Thai anti-government protester has been shot dead in Bangkok, according to emergency officials.
One man was reportedly killed, and four more people wounded, when an unidentified gunman opened fire – amid demonstrations against the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
Protesters have been rallying for weeks to topple Shinawatra, who they accuse of corruption. She dissolved parliament earlier this month and called a snap election due to be held on February 2.
The latest violence comes two days after two people were killed in clashes between demonstrators and police outside a voting registration centre in Bangkok.
