In this guitar lesson, Silvio Gazquez will teach you 2 basic patterns which are like the abc of lead guitar technique. Notice how he uses these patterns in one string, then once you have it you can move it to the next strings.
I recommend you to listen to some of the greatest legato players, like Allan Holdsworth, Richie Kotzen, Greg Howe, etc.
Start it very slow at first and increase the speed gradually with a metronome!
