Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon remains in a critical condition, according to Monday’s medical bulletin.
“On one hand there is stability of his cardio-vascular system. On the other hand we see a slow deterioration of the function of his other organs. So we still define his situation as critical with immediate danger to his life,” said Professor Zeev Rotstein, director of the Sheba Medical Centre.
Ariel Sharon, 85, has been in a vegetative state since he suffered the second of two strokes eight years ago.
During his military and political career he was a highly controversial figure among many factions both inside and beyond Israel.
