Bentley is synonymous with luxury and unattainability. With the average customer owning 6-7 cars it’s fair to say that this brand is built for the elite. But the huge price tags of their car didn’t infringe on their celebrations, as 2013 brought record sales. At the Detroit Auto Show the GTV8S was on show for its North American Debut.
The GTV8S in true Bentley style is luxurious, but with a sportier edge. It boasts sports suspension, sharper steering, and a retuned electronic stability control.
With cars like these, its no wonder Bentley was able to report a 19% rise in global sales, despite a shrinking demand for luxurious cars in China. Kevin Rose, the Sales and Marketing Director was on hand to describe how the record year was achieved and the challenges for 2014.
It’s a hard year to follow, but Rose assured IBTimesTV that Bentley will continue to innovate and bring in new models. One we just can’t wait to see is the new Bentley SUV, slated to arrive in 2016. When it arrives the SUB, according to Rose, will be radically different than the concept they unveiled in 2012.
