Another of me playing the Compton organ model 'Miniatura III' at St Thomas's Church in Henbury just outside Macclesfield, Cheshire.

Im playing the worship song 'Peace, perfect peace' which is an ideal song for demonstrating the organs individual ranks of pipes. The first verse starts with the Flute at 8ft pitch and then adding the 4ft in the second part. For the second verse the same is done for the Gemshorn ranks and for the last verse the Diapason is featured at 8ft, 4ft and 2ft pitches.

During the playing of this, the church clock struck 4pm. Rather than do the song again, I decided to keep this for authenticity!

Many thanks to Reverend Gary Bowness for allowing me access to this wonderful example of a Compton organ.

NOTE: this is purely my interest in order to make sure that these fine organs are archived forever and I do not make any monetary profit by this video being on youtube.

REQUEST: I am always on the lookout for Compton organs to play - particularly electrones - so if you know of any churches which still have these then please do let me know. I will happily give a donation or pay any applicable room hire charge.
