A Taliban suicide bomber kills 10 people in a market in Rawalpindi, near the headquarters of the Pakistani army.
The army camp is supposedly one of the most secure areas in the city.
A witness, Mohammed Fahad, said they were asleep when the blast happened, and they saw bodies lying on the ground and blood everywhere.
Some people from their neighbourhood were among those injured, he said.
Police diverted people from the area in case a second blast took place.
A Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the bombing.
It follows an attack that killed 20 Pakistani troops on Sunday (January 19).
The Pakistani government is keen to pursue talks with the Taliban but the number of attacks has spiked since Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif came to power last year.
